Establishment Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
To encourage and guarantee excellence, the Shekhawati Institute of Engineering and Technology established the Internal excellence Assurance Cell (IQAC), a statutory agency, on 26 June, 2021. The planning, observation, and assessment of both academic and extracurricular activities are all part of the quality assurance system that the IQAC is in charge of creating and putting into place inside the organization. The institution's principal serves as the IQAC's chair, and its membership is made up of non-teaching staff, students, and teachers. The purpose of the IQAC meetings is to examine and discuss the development of the quality assurance system. The following are the functions of the IQAC:
- To create and put into place a system of quality control within the organization.
- To organize, oversee, and assess both academic and extracurricular activities.
- To pin point and deal with problems that need improvement.
- To compile and provide the UGC a yearly quality assurance report.
In order to guarantee the calibre of instruction at post-secondary educational establishments, the IQAC is essential. The institution's research, teaching, and learning all benefit from the IQAC's efforts. Additionally, the IQAC supports the institution's culture of ongoing improvement. The IQAC's initiatives support the institution's culture of continual development and enhance the quality of instruction and it is also a useful tool for the institutions of higher learning.
Objectives of IQAC:
- To create a framework for deliberate, dependable, and inspiring action aimed at enhancing the institution's administrative and academic performance.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Responsibilities of IQAC:
- Creating and implementing quality standards
- Guidelines for the institution's many academic and administrative initiatives
- Creating and implementing quality standards
- Encouraging the development of a learner-cantered environment that supports high-quality instruction and faculty development to embrace the skills and tools needed for interactive teaching and learning methods.
- Gathering and evaluating input on institutional processes and results linked to quality from all relevant parties
- Providing stakeholders with information on various quality parameters
- Planning conferences on quality-related topics, workshops, and seminars both inside and between institutions; additionally, quality circles are promoted.
- Recording of the numerous initiatives and tasks aimed at enhancing quality
- Serving as the Institution's go-to organization for organizing initiatives linked to quality, such as adopting and promoting best practices.
- Creation and upkeep of an institutional database to preserve and improve the quality of the institution
Initiative taken by IQAC:
- Make the decision to host national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- The creation of a sports board to promote student involvement in various sports at the international, national, and state levels
- To Speak with each committee coordinator about planned events and activities for the entire year.
- To determine the goals and duties of internal committees and to amend their constitution.
